Here I am, sitting at my laptop… no iPad for me as I love the sensual taptaptap of the keys in response to my fingers. And as I digress, I remind myself that we all need to digress on purpose sometimes.
No, it’s not a bad thing however much you were told to ‘PAY ATTENTION!’ or ‘STOP DREAMING!’
You and I need digression to keep our Passion juicily nourished. And, incidentally, help the little grey cells to keep firing on target.
I’m talking about cross-fertilisation here…
A cross fertilisation of ideas, perceptions and attitudes which sometimes might challenge you but will always help you to stay fresh to learning and the worlds inside and outside of you..
So, if you’re a Conservative read something from the socialist press. If you’re a gym bunny give track running a go. If you’re into child rearing, go listen to some classical music after the latest bout of ‘I want, I want…’ and hear what it tells you. If you’re into personal development studies… like me… go read a swash buckling novel or a sci-fi fantasy and check out the new message it has to inform your work.
To paraphrase the amazing Mae West, “A bit of digression can be wonderful!”
Your Passion demands of you curiosity, creativity and playfulness…

We fell about laughing so much my belly ached. And all because of a shared passion!
Talking with my colleague and friend Zoe Dawes, the Quirky Traveller , travel writer, blogger and coach. BTW… She travel writes like you’ve not read before and she runs an absolutely creative smorgasbord of a blogging workshop.
We were talking about our mutual passion for writing. How we both delished language painting pictures and visions and dreams and sensuality of experience. And we remarked on not same-old-same-old writing styles, she highlighting some of my own writing/speaking/languaging quirkiness… Read more…
In case the tag line is too small for you to read it says “You’re at a 10. We need you at about a 7.” I won’t even bother to tell you about the website I found it on.

Excuse me? Could you be forgiven for thinking it was. Count up the number of women leaders you can think of who are alive at this time. If you got beyond 8 fingers, you’re doing well.
From the Boardroom to the shop floor, women are in the vast minority. Unless, of course, if it’s in traditional women’s territory like the W.I., child care and… I’m so dang fed up with women being corralled!
Now swish out your thinking and turn your attention to everyday life. To the shedloads of women who are unrecognised leaders. Read more…
