Before I started Sharon Eden’s Heart Racer programme, I felt very blocked creatively – as a journalist, I write all day, but try as I might, I couldn’t find the peace of mind to sit down and do the creative writing I longed to do. I felt as if I was banging my head against a very sturdy wall.
The programme highlighted for me the things that are important in my life (not what I thought should be important)… I also clarified that I do want to write fiction. Sharon taught me how to turn negative beliefs into positives and how to spot the signs that I may be reverting to my old style of thinking.
Just hours on and I was using my time more effectively. I was also treating myself a lot better and had stopped putting myself last.
A few weeks later… I started writing regularly every day – just for half an hour, but just 30 minutes of writing random scenes left me on such a high with renewed confidence. Sharon was lovely to work with – her enthusiasm is catching!

“I recently approached Sharon to help me work through my confidence and presentation skills .I felt stuck at a crossroads of sorts unable to take any steps forward. Just an hour chatting with Sharon helped to validate my thoughts and also crystallise a plan forward. Most importantly, she was very supportive and easy to open up to.
Sharon is clearly an expert in her field. Her coaching style is both honest and thoughtful and she is able to see straight to the problem, which is holding someone back. The experience and knowledge I have acquired will serve me moving forward. “
Cheryl Laidlaw, Graphic/Web Designer
“I’ve got a good job, although didn’t really plan to get here. But I was feeling as if something was missing. Also, with 15+ years to retirement I don’t want to just stay put, but further promotion along the expected path leads to a role I don’t want.
Very interesting that you picked up how I describe my job and what I like – in a way that doesn’t relate to pharmacy at all, but to people, guiding and teaching. It really made me think. It has given me a little more courage to think with my heart and gut rather than my well trained and regimented brain.
I was a little unsure as I have never done this sort of thing before, but you put me at ease immediately and got me talking.”
Jill Stevens, Senior Clinical Pharmacist/manager – hospital based
Sharon’s presentation was so very inspiring! After a particularly challenging month I was buoyed by Sharon’s outlook on the past, present and future. Audience participation can be dreaded by some, but Sharon created an atmosphere of warmth in which you could not help but feel comfortable and willing to learn more about both her, her expertise and yourself.
Katherine Niccol, Solicitor
“Before the session I was working hard towards my dream but had days when I felt isolated and structureless. Sharon helped me to recap on the things I want – I realised I already had a clear vision and just need to trust myself to work towards it.
I found Sharon to be grounded and focused; she cuts to the chase quickly and with compassion.”
Justina Hart, Novelist, Poet and Creative Entrepreneur
Sharon presentation was invigorating and inspiring. She is a clear and knowledgeable communicator and her passion and enthusiasm are infectious.
Nicoletta Adda, Pinkananas Image Consultancy, www.pinkananas.com
“Manic with too much going on personally and professionally. I was feeling fairly stuck in a job that although initially challenging is now run of the mill, repetitive and to my mind boring.
I learned that I am “marketable” and valuable and have a lot to offer and what I need to do is regain my own self belief and to ignore the doomsayers!
Working with Sharon is always a pleasure and challenging!”
Mary O’Connor, Provider Affairs Specialist, Private Medical Insurance
Sharon’s presentation was a gift to the world of business. She is as cliché as it sounds, inspirational, passionate and more importantly authentic. She was a great tonic for the soul and she is highly recommended.

“I couldn’t decide on the best way to move through a transitional phase and was feeling stuck, tired and a bit defeated.
I learnt how much my fears were blocking my energy and passion, which in turn was preventing me from really moving forward in my chosen profession.
Sharon is warm and intuitive but kept me firmly focused – highly recommended.”
Elizabeth, Fundraiser Voluntary Sector, Cambridgeshire
Sharon’s presentation was engaging and thought provoking. It was a pleasure to hear her speak and engage in the exercises that she provided for the group. She is an inspiration to is all and clearly very passionate about what she does!

“Before the session, I felt exhausted, confused and emotional. I knew what I wanted from life, both personally and professionally and what the general steps are to get there, but couldn’t see any way for ME to get there, no matter how hard I tried.
I felt calm, energised and more confident than I’ve felt in a long time and reassured that I can turn things around for a happy and more positive future.
‘Mind changing’! And I’m certain that with commitment and effort on my part, will become life changing.”
Nicola Whiteley, Occupational Health Nurse Specialist, Pharmaceutical Company
“Sharon, an experienced and effective psychotherapist and executive coach, brings wisdom and gutsy realism to her work and writing. She’s able to get to the bottom of personal and professional blockages with speed and clarity. She practices what she preaches in her own life and relationships as an excellent role model. Time and again she knows how to focus on the main issues and to make a meaningful difference without jargon or time wasting. She’s one to listen to and read, a ‘no nonsense’ coach who makes sense and walks the talk.”
Dr Phyllis SantaMaria – Founder Director, Microfinance without Borders
“Sharon held the room spellbound with directness, an assured authority and expansive radiating warmth. Although I didn’t think I would fully engage with the material, something about her gave me the confidence to try anyway – and it worked!”
Jane Henderson, Chief Executive of a public sector agency
“One word sums Sharon up – Discovery! …coming from a very low place physically, emotionally and psychologically, Sharon gently accompanied me on a journey of discovery. Through it all, I found hope and direction from within that is now helping me take control of my life. It didn’t take long for me to go from ‘Fearful to Fierce’ in Sharon’s meaning of the latter.”
Icilda Stewart, Executive, Local Government
“The organisation was in crisis for which I felt responsible . I didn’t have a cohesive team…. The morale amongst staff was low with high vacancy and sickness. As head of service I felt unable to keep up with priorities, demands, unrealistic deadlines and customer complaints”…
Some of the factors in being coached by Sharon which helped me overcome these challenges were…helping me to utilise my own skills and abilities which I thought I did not have or had lost. Her style of questioning and visualisation… and a level of understanding that ran deep.
Some of my achievements were … Increased confidence, a way forward – a plan, strategies to manage difficult situations, more approachable for staff, using the inner voice and use of intuition, methods to being more organised, better equipped to address and challenge situations I believe are unfair and improved leadership skills.”
Diane Jones, Head of Midwifery & Supervisor of Midwives, an NHS Trust
“Sharon is an absolute inspiration in the training room. Such zest, vitality and knowledge.”
Debbie Bissett, Managing Director, LCA Resourcing Ltd
“She is very perceptive, often cutting through mental and emotional fog in a way which can be very refreshing. She’s also fun, if you like the kind of humour that reveals the true meaning of things whilst being very mischievous and irreverent. I thoroughly recommend her as a safe pair of hands in which to explore your life.”
Gill Barstow, Managing Director, Heart & Minds Ltd
“Sharon’s unique approach, reputation and impact has enabled our employees to become refocused, self aware and empowered. The results she’s produced have been remarkable and literally transformed people’s lives.”
